The Bahamas have excellent soil and a perfect warm climate, giving it some of the best conditions for growing produce in the world.

The top vegetable gown in the Bahamas is quite surprising to many, in being the cabbage (2006 data), followed by the cassava, hot pepper, plantain, pumpkin, sweet pepper, sweet potato and tomato.

The top fruit grown in the Bahamas (2006 data) are Avocado, Banana, Coconut, Grapefruit, Mango, Orange, Pineapple and Sour Orange.
